The first project that I analyzed was by Jen Ellison. In my opinion her intended audience are for teachers and/or educators that are interested in exploring gamification. It seems as if she's targeting those who play video games themselves or simply have noticed that it's popular with students of all ages and want to learn how to apply it to learning in the classroom. It's apparent on every page that she tries to draw in her audience with the success of turning her classroom into one big video game by presenting lesson plans, many resources and ideas on how to get started. The second capstone project I critiqued was by Jennifer Perkins. Her target audience are teachers, specifically math teachers, that want to increase their student's math assessment scores. Throughout her website she offers various ways to use growth mindset to change the way students feel/think about math. Ellison provides plenty of data, charts and statistics to attract and her math, technology and science counterparts to explore a common ground.
